It all started in 2011 when our owner, Michael Ybarra, began working in the drywall Industry. He started working as a laborer, sweeping floors and throwing out drywall scraps on commercial projects.  Since the first day he stepped foot on a job site, he has never stopped working in the trade. Even though he started sweeping floors and throwing out trash when he first began, he has been learning about drywall daily. While walking around the job site picking up trash, he would ask the journeyman installing the drywall and ask questions to the journeyman drywall finishers while applying joint compound and finishing walls, preparing them for paint. Over the years, he has had many drywall installers and finishers teach him and explain to him processes, techniques, and all the “tricks of the trade” that ultimately helped him become a drywall expert. Although he has had many teachers over the years, two mentors have countlessly poured into him and taken the time to embed values like integrity, hard work, consistency, and diligence. One individual is his uncle. The man who raised him and who also worked in the trade. His uncle, retired now, is known throughout the drywall community as one of the best ever to do it. He was so good that they used to call him a triple threat because he was a master at framing walls, installing drywall, and finishing drywall all at a very High level of quality. His other mentor is now an executive at one of the largest and most successful commercial drywall companies in the United States. Growing up with his aunt and uncle and three Male cousins, working hard and drywall was everything. Being that his uncle was a Master drywaller,  his cousins also, he was able to glean and learn firsthand about all things drywall.
